    Chief Operating Officer

    Serese Marotta is the chief operating officer for Families Fighting Flu, a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving lives and reducing hospitalizations by protecting children, families, and communities against influenza. She came to Families Fighting Flu in 2010 following the loss of her 5-year-old son, Joseph, to the flu in 2009. Serese served on the board of directors for the organization before coming on-staff in May 2016. Prior to joining Families Fighting Flu, she worked as an environmental scientist for 16 years at a consulting firm conducting ecological and human health risk assessments. Serese now works tirelessly to raise awareness about the seriousness of flu and the critical importance of annual flu vaccination for everyone 6 months and older.

    Chief Medical Officer

    Jeb S. Teichman, MD, is chief medical officer of United Healthcare Community Plan of Kentucky. He began his medical career as a pediatric hospitalist at Humana Hospital Audubon in Louisville, Kentucky in 1986. Dr Teichman transitioned into private practice pediatrics in 1993 when he founded Jeffersonville Pediatrics in Indiana. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr Teichman completed his residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in New York.

    Andrew Eisenberg, MD, MHA

    Board Certified Family Physician

    Andrew C. Eisenberg, MD, MHA, is a practicing physician in Sarasota, Florida and has been a medical advisor for Families Fighting Flu since 2007. He serves as the liaison from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Committee on Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Dr Eisenberg is past chair of the Council on Quality and Practice for the AAFP and former county health officer for Leon County and Madison County in Texas. He served for five years on the American Medical Association's steering committee commission to end healthcare disparities. Dr Eisenberg received his medical degree and master’s degree of health care administration from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
