Brett C. Gilbert, DO, FACOI
Brett C. Gilbert, DO, FACOIBrett Gilbert, DO, FACOI, is the Chairman of Antibiotic Stewardship and Infection Control at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He received his DO from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) in Stratford. He then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University Medical Center at UMDNJ-SOM and at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, NJ, and finished his infectious disease fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr Gilbert is also Chief of Infectious Diseases at Chestnut Hill Hospital, where he serves as Chairman of Antibiotic Stewardship, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and the Infection Control Committee, and is a physician at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia. In addition, Dr Gilbert is a clinical instructor at Thomas Jefferson University and a clinical assistant professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a member of several organizations, including the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. Dr Gilbert’s research has been published in various journals, and he has received many awards for his work in medical education.
